Well that didn’t take long, the green energy fund launched by the former Liberal party has been terminated as a result of the conservatives winning the Provincial election. Now when you visit the green energy fund website it is a single page informing us that the program has been cancelled.
After reading an article on the Toronto Star’s website Doug Ford is responsible for this event and focuses his attention on cutting gas prices instead of limiting carbon emissions. Without getting too caught up in politics I think it’s safe to say that there was a lot more money to save by reducing your home energy costs than by cutting the price of gasoline by 10 cents, not everybody drives and a small dent in gas prices is certainly not going to be enough to impact the products we buy on a day-day basis and does nothing for those who take public transit.
